Executive interview videos from your Japan office — delivered in English

Your Japan office has leaders worth hearing from — and a comms team an ocean away. We film executive and expert interviews in Tokyo, conduct them in Japanese, and deliver English videos your team can publish as-is.

About two and a half hours of your executive's time is all it takes: we handle the questions, the filming, the translation, and the edit. Most clients run this as a quarterly series — same setup, same look, a steady stream of thought leadership from Japan.

Fixed: US$2,500 per finished video.

Built around your executive's schedule

  1. Questions approved in advance — bring your own or leave them to us; we prepare them in Japanese and English, and your comms team reviews once.
  2. Shoot day — Setup before your executive arrives; the interview itself typically runs under an hour, in Japanese, camera-ready lighting and sound included. B-roll of your executive at work follows, about 90 minutes as standard. Your team can listen in by live feed (Zoom/Teams).
  3. 48-hour bilingual transcript — Your team flags the moments that matter before the edit.
  4. English delivery — Subtitled video plus caption files, sized for your channels. Every quote in it is one your team already approved.

What the day looks like in your office

It is the first thing we are asked about, so here is the whole day. These are our working numbers, not an estimate.

  • −1:30 · We arrive — two or three of us, with three suitcases of equipment. We work in one room. We do not ask for a holding room, and we do not ask for a separate space for the gear.
  • −1:25 · We photograph the room before we move anything — on a phone, so that every chair and every cable goes back where it was. Setup takes the rest of those 90 minutes.
  • 0:00 · Your executive arrives, and the interview begins — under an hour, in Japanese, one on one. No interpreter in the room, and no questions relayed through anyone.
  • 1:00 · B-roll, with your executive at work — about 90 minutes as standard. If their day cannot spare that, tell us and we work to what it can; where the story needs more, we plan for more.
  • 2:30 · Your executive is finished and goes back to work — everything else that day is ours.
  • 3:15 · We are out the door — pack-down takes 45 minutes, and we leave the room as we found it.

Total call on your executive: 2 h 30 m — and we tell them that number before the day, not on the day.
