We work with international editorial and documentary teams on Japan stories — self-shooting producers who also solve the language problem. We research and pre-interview in Japanese, shoot broadcast-quality picture and sound, and hand your editors a timecoded bilingual transcript within 48 hours, so the cut never waits for translation.
What you get
- Shooter-producer in one — we film and conduct interviews in Japanese, and turn around self-shot packages fast.
- Edit-ready bilingual transcripts — Timecoded Japanese + English, Excel and SRT, within 48 hours of the shoot.
- Japan-side logistics — Locations, releases, and scheduling handled in Japanese for the stories we shoot.
Selected commissions
GaijinPot commissioned a film about Japan's yamabushi — the mountain monks of Yamagata, who are opening their training grounds to visitors from abroad. We filmed it on location and delivered the finished cut, which GaijinPot published on their channel.

Another commission, in a very different room: Marriott TRAVELER Asia wanted a film inside Hashimoto, a Michelin-starred eel restaurant in Tokyo. We filmed and edited that one too.

Other commissions we've filmed:
- A UK publishing group — Video-game studio mini-documentary, shot and produced in Tokyo.
