Your case study library probably has a gap where Japan should be. The customers are there, the results are there — but filming in Japan usually means coordinating a crew, an interpreter, and a translation agency, so the video never gets made.
We close that gap. Based in Tokyo, we interview your Japanese customer in Japanese and deliver a finished English testimonial video your global team can use — subtitles, translation, and editing included, one point of contact, fixed pricing. And you stay close to every step from your desk: live feed on shoot day, full transcript in 48 hours, your approval before we cut.
With a translation agency vs. with us
| Typical multi-vendor setup | Working with us | |
|---|---|---|
| Who asks the questions | An interpreter relaying your crew's questions | We conduct the interview ourselves, in Japanese |
| When you see what was said | Weeks later, after transcription and translation | Timecoded bilingual transcript within 48 hours |
| Vendors to manage | Crew + interpreter + translator + editor | One partner, one point of contact |
| Pricing | Quoted per vendor, adds up fast | Fixed: US$5,000 per finished video |
Testimonial, case study video, or customer story?
Different teams use different words for the same deliverable: a testimonial leads with the customer's endorsement, a case study video adds the ROI numbers, and a customer story tells it as a narrative. The production is the same — a well-run interview with your Japanese customer, shaped in the edit to fit how your team will use it. We decide the angle together at the brief.
Selected work
GeoEdge, an ad-quality company, wanted their Japanese customer to say in their own words what changed after switching. The project was their idea, and we are grateful they trusted us with the shoot in Tokyo — an interview with CompassTV, the ad sales arm of the transit-navigation service Jorudan. We are proud that it became a customer story GeoEdge publishes on their own site.

Other customer stories we've filmed:
- A UK medical-device company — Customer interviews filmed at two Japanese research hospitals; English-subtitled videos used by their global team.
- A US ingredients manufacturer — Customer interview video filmed in Japan for global marketing use.

Common questions
Our customer has never been on camera. Will it work?
That's the normal case, not the exception. Speaking in their own language, in a calm one-on-one setting, is what makes first-timers comfortable — it's why the interviews feel like conversations, not depositions.
Can our team join the shoot remotely?
Yes — wherever the venue's connectivity allows, you join a live feed and hear every question as it's asked. The 48-hour bilingual transcript covers everything regardless.
Can you film several customers in one trip?
Yes — and each customer gets a shoot day of their own, so nobody is rushed through. Each story after your first is US$3,800 instead of US$5,000 — booked together, or ordered within three months of the previous shoot, while we still hold the project files. After three months the planning starts over and the next story is US$5,000 again.
